When making a web site?Can I?

cute and paste info from other websites and just put where I got all my info at the bottom? And if i pay to make it a .com will it make it easy for people to find me on google? This is it now seattledogtraining.webs.com with the webs. I was thinking about changing it to seattledogtraining.com for 40 bucks a year.If it will help people find me. still editing I'm making it on a free website design site.and they want $200 for 2 years with no ads and a .com name .is that fair? or should i go for $40 a year and just make it seattledogtraining.com and leave the ads? Thanks a lot! Can i get some suggestions on where do go and what to do?

i want to create a website like a blog. i don't want to deal with free blogging platforms. is there any free web design software that i can download that will allow me to create my own website and i will just pay for hosting ? Thanks in advance
